Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2025
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Palisade Service and Agent and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. It exists because the Service can perform privileged operations on devices and reach other systems on a network. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
1. Authorization is required for everything you touch
You may use the Service only on devices and networks that you own or are expressly authorized to administer. You must not use the Service, the Agent, the device proxy, Telnet, SSH, or any other feature to access, scan, probe, or interact with any device, system, network, account, or data without authorization from its owner.
2. Prohibited uses
You will not use the Service or Agent to:
- Access without authorization — reach, control, monitor, or extract data from any device, network, or account you are not authorized to access, including using a Managed Device as a pivot to unauthorized systems.
- Break the law — engage in or facilitate any illegal activity, including unauthorized access (e.g. violations of computer-fraud/anti-hacking laws), fraud, or infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Attack or disrupt — conduct denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized penetration testing, vulnerability scanning of third-party systems, network flooding, or other activity that harms or degrades any system or network.
- Distribute malware — upload, deploy, or transmit malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious or unwanted code.
- Surveil without consent — capture screens, keystrokes, files, or activity of individuals without the disclosures and consents required by law in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Harvest credentials — collect, store, or use credentials except for systems you are authorized to administer.
- Circumvent controls — bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, tenant isolation, or other security or access controls of the Service or any device.
- Abuse the platform — interfere with the Service or other customers, probe or test the Service's vulnerabilities except under an authorized program, share accounts, or exceed the access granted to you.
- Resell or misrepresent — resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly authorized, or misrepresent your identity or authority.
3. Customer responsibility
You are responsible for the conduct of your Authorized Users and for all activity under your account. You will ensure your use, and your end users' devices and consents, comply with this AUP and applicable law (including employee-notice and monitoring laws where you deploy the Agent).
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take other action (including preserving and disclosing information where legally required) for any actual or suspected violation, with or without notice depending on the severity and any risk to others. We are not obligated to monitor use but may do so to protect the Service and its users.
5. Reporting
Report suspected abuse or security issues to support@palisadenetworks.com security@palisadenetworks.com.
We may update this AUP from time to time; the current version governs your use.
